Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge (rarely seen anchor picture!!!!)

Today I along with other members of the honors college went to part of the campus where they conserve artifacts, specifically for Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge. It was probably one of the most amazing things ever. We got to see the artifacts and that they brought up. Cups, pins, platters, gold, among many other things. We saw how they X-ray the things they bring up to see what they've found. we also saw the different stages and techniques they use to clean up the artifacts. We saw cannons in each of these stages. Some of these cannons were actually loaded so it causes some other steps.

The BEST thing we saw was the anchor they brought up over the summer! it was HUGEEEE. I attached a picture so you can see it! It was the most wonderful thing ever!!
