Crayon Canvas!

Hey!

I was bored today (my internship is only tuesday-friday) so I decided to make it craft day! I went on a search for crayons...who knew that crayons were so hard to find now a days! So i bought crayons at michael's with coupons (of course) and used the painters tape and canvases I already had and pulled out my hair dryer and had some fun!

I put the tape down spelling out the words I wanted (could be used to create a design too). Then I pulled out the crayons in the colors I wanted and peeled the labels off! Then I went at it! Turn the hair dryer on and let the crayon melt and used the heat to move the wax around. then after it dried I peeled the tape of and ta da! awesomely fun art!

The speed of the air can give you different looks, but the high heat with the fast air seems to work the best. just play around with it. it's hard to mess up.

Just a word...you can buy cheap crayons from the dollar store, i used a few for this project...but they did not work like at all. the 48 crayons I bought for $1.99 worked so much better. if they don't melt within 30 seconds, the crayons probably aren't the best and will frustrate you (like they did me).

Anyways try it out, great craft project for boring days of all ages!
